Life updates

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve blogged here, and for that I apologize! I have been so busy interviewing, editing and producing my new podcast, Honoring the Journey! It’s been so much fun and we are just getting started! I am co-hosting the podcast with my friend, Karen Shock, and we are using the podcast as a venue to share the life and faith journeys of people from different walks of life, religious backgrounds (or non-religious!), different cultures and even different ways of connecting with the Divine.

This journey has been one of my favorite parts of deconstruction so far. I finally let go of all the fear I had of hearing other perspectives, and learned to really lean in and listen to other journeys without fear of them pulling me off my own journey or deceiving me into believing something other than what I’d been taught. Instead of looking at people as projects that need fixing, I can now see people for the incredible, amazing humans they are and actually learn something from them in the process! What a concept! (ha!)

I hope you will take the time to listen in! You can find honoring the journey at most podcasting apps, and we are even on YouTube (Subscribe Now!), so if you want to see the podcast, there is an option for that, as well. You will be amazed at the vastness and beauty of the people we have had on the show already - and there is so much more to come!

Another thing I’ve been doing is finishing up writing my memoir, which is due out with Quoir Publishing the end of this year or the beginning of 2025 —depending on how much I need to change after the editing process, which if you know anything about writing is the hardest part! I am currently calling the book Honoring the Journey: The Deconstruction of Sister Christian, but I’m sure you’re aware a lot can change in the production process, so we will see if that is my final title.

I’m so enjoying meeting with clients one on one for my coaching business. This has got to be one of the most rewarding seasons of my life, honestly! If you or someone you know is struggling with deconstruction, or if you’re facing some other seemingly insurmountable change or transition in your life, please don’t hesitate to schedule that free consultation! I’d be honored to walk beside you in your journey.

Look for Group Coaching in the near future, too! This will be a fun (and less costly) alternative for those who enjoy the community vibe, but also want to work through deconstruction in a coaching setting! I can’t wait to share more about this soon.

Thanks for your support! If you need anything, reach out! My email is leslienease@gmail.com.
